1) Why preparing the candidate is crucial

When a candidate takes an analysis, they may be tempted to answer as they “should” rather than as they really are. This is what we call social desirability bias.
Result? A “flattering” but not very accurate portrait.
👉 The quality of your recruitment depends as much on the tool as on how you frame the experience.

2) The 4 golden rules (to be applied systematically)

📣 1. Announce a follow-up

“After this questionnaire, we will have a debrief together.”
→ The candidate understands that this is not a dead end.

🔓 2. Give access to the results

“You will also receive your analysis.”
→ Transparency = trust = more sincere answers.

🤝 3. Schedule a time for discussion (debrief)

“We will take 10 minutes to discuss it.”
→ This shows that the results are useful and do not disappear into a “black box”.

🎯 4. Explain the pro-candidate objective

“This is not a school test. The objective is to get to know you better to help you succeed in the team.”
→ The candidate understands that this is not a trap, but a help.

3) The right testing conditions

🤫 Quiet

Not at the checkout or in the middle of a rush.
Ideally, suggest the candidate isolate themselves for a few minutes.

⏱️ One session only

No interruptions: the coherence of the answers depends on the continuity.

🗓️ Planned debrief

5–10 minutes is enough.
Confidentiality and active listening.
Even short, this meeting is non-negotiable: without a debrief, the candidate feels betrayed.

4) Ready-to-use texts

📩 Invitation (SMS / WhatsApp / email)

“I am sending you a short questionnaire. You will have access to your results; there are no right or wrong answers. We will talk about it together afterwards. The objective is to find a position where you can thrive.”

🎤 Pitch in store (10 seconds)

“You can scan here: in 3 minutes you take a short questionnaire, you see the offers that correspond to you, you receive your results and we discuss them together.”

Rewrite your invitation message by integrating the 4 golden rules.
Choose a quiet place in your store to offer the test (note it).
Schedule 2 slots of 10 minutes in your agenda to debrief the candidates this week.
